Don'T Give Up
Your face is lined in pain
your eyes are filling with tears
your heartbeats are echoing with grief
your breaths are heaving with deep sighs
Your sorrow is wearing your strength
your despair is breaking you down
your will is dissolving weakening your resolve
your mind is troubled over many things
You feel so alone and helpless
you are drowning in misery from your mistakes
unable to get up and pull yourself
the mess you are in is so grave and deep
Living becomes a burden for you
your mind is cage unable to break free
you feel like giving up and just let go
ending your life seems the easy way
But wait! cried a voice inside your head
it's not too late to make up and start anew
these things will all come to pass
don't lose hope we can get through
In a rush of feelings you come alive
break down in tears and rock by sobs
how wrong it was to just give up on living
when there's a way to get out of this rut
Life is a journey with many paths my friend
when life gets you down don't give up just bend
lift up your hands and seek for God's mercy
He will answer your call and for you He'll make a way
