Don'T Forget the Lipstick When I'M Gone

When I'm gone to my resting place Please think of these, my final request. Please put my makeup on my face. Have my hair styled and in place. Please put me on a frilly dress. The costume jewelry is a must. Make sure I have some fancy shoes, Forget about the stupid rules. Please make sure I have a purse, God know I need one in the hearse. Please put in it my favorite things, Like pictures, compact, you know what I mean. But most of all, please don't forget Make sure I have lipstick upon my lips. This may sound silly to some, I'm sure. But to those, like me, well I'm just a girl

What a great write here, Rita!! Loved the title and then it got more and more real and I know I want to have all my little ugly hairs pulled out too ... LOL ... I have visions of a bearded lady ... smile ... but cremation will pretty much solve the problem ... this is wonderful!! Welcome to PoetrySoup and I look forward to reading a lot more of your writing!!
