Don't Forget That

Kicked to the curb once again
What comes next
I've lost my job
I may just lose everything
But what is that Everything
The possessions we tend to hold close to our heart
The security of a roof over our head
The struggle that becomes the face of fear staring you down
In these times of failure is there any successes
We mastered the disguse of weakness
We are hidden from our surroundings
But our minds wander in the realm of darkness in these moments
I've struggled to find the light these last couple weeks
When the voices say your done I want to scream no I am not
But it is so hard when I feel the way I do about my life
When you loose it all
I am not just talking about the physical
I am talking about the faith in me
I am searching this very moment for that faith in me and the world is so convincing
It breaks me down to the point of tears and in those tears I feel I need to concede
But why
When I know it will not defeat me
It will not take my soul
I plan to emerge more stronger
It starts today with these words to myself
That you are the one in control
Do not forget that.
