Don'T Forget About Me
“Don’t forget about me,”
I whispered as you
Closed the door.
“I never loved you.”
And he walked away.
Tell me sugar sweet lies.
Whisper them in my ear.
Tell me your false promises.
Tell me you love me.
You walked out that god d*** door.
And you left me alone.
After you said you’d stay.
You’d slap a hand across my face.
And leave a stain.
After you said you’re sorry,
You’d hit me again.
You told me about your life,
And how your dad never loved you.
After how you said
You never loved me.
“Don’t forget about me.”
And he did.
