Don'T Force Me

Don’t tell me I need a man in my life, Don’t tell me that true love, Is what I need to be happy. How can I take care of someone else, When I still need to take care of myself? How can I show love and affection, If I am not ready? I don’t want to be forced to love another. If I ever love again, Love will come to me, When I least expect it. I can’t go looking for prince charming, I can’t love anyone, Until I am ready, Until I can really love myself… It may be selfish, And I may miss many opportunities, Before someone special comes along, I will let life run its course, Let that special man come to me, Let him find me, Until that day comes, I don’t need a man in my life, I won’t be forced to find true love…
