Dont Drink and Drive

HE FOUND IT HARD TO CARRY ON
THE CYCLE OF HOPE AND DISAPPOINTED GOT TO HIM
JEOPARDIZED HIS EQUILIBRIUM
HIS ABILITY TO GO ON

THE WEARINESS WAS SWALLOWING HIM UP
HE WOULD PASS ANY ATTEMPT HE HAD MADE TO PRETEND
TOO EXHAUSTED TO FIGHT OFF THE DEMONS THAT STOLE
HIS FAITH

HE INDICATED A LOSS OF CONFIDENCE
NO EMOTIONS WERE ATTACHED TO HIS WORDS
HE WAS IMAGINING A LIFE HE'LL NEVER KNOW
A WARMTH AND SECURITY THAT WILL NEVER BE HIS AGAIN

NEAR INSANITY HAD TAKING HIM OVER
HE TRIED TO ACCEPT HE WAS AN IMPERFECT MAN LIVING IN
AN IMPERFECT WORLD BUT HE COULDNT
FAILURE ABOUNDED

HE LOST HIS COMPASSION
HER ABSENCE MADE THINGS TOUGH
HE TRIED TO PRETEND HIS HEART WASNT CRYING EVERY SECOND
OF THE DAY

THE CHILL IN THE AIR MADE HIM FEEL NUMB
HE COULDNT FORGET THAT HORRIBLE NIGHT
WILL HE EVER BE ABLE TO FORGIVE HIMSELF
IS IT EVER GONNA BE THE SAME

                    HE POURS HIMSELF ANOTHER DRINK
                              AND DRIVES AWAY!!
