Don'T Cry For Me

One day I'll lay upon a bed and someone near will declare me dead Don't cry for me when my time is done for life for me has just begun I'll enter Heaven through pearly gates and walk down the streets of gold And Jesus will be waiting with open arms with found loved ones young and old Grandma will be holding the babies while rocking in her chair And Mom will be cooking my favorite meal saying how happy she is I'm there Grandpa will be taking a peaceful nap and smiling as he dreams And Dad will be watching the ballgame and cheering his beloved team Old Blue will be barking a welcome while wagging his stubby tail And we'll go stalking the fields again in search of pheasant and quail Angels will be singing sweet melodies soothing all worldly fears And pain and suffering will finally cease along with the needless tears So don't cry for me when my time is done for there will be so much to do I'll be in heaven with those from the past helping prepare a home for you
