DON'T CRY
We're sorry we couldn't save you
even though we tried with all our might.
We keep replaying in our minds
what happened that fateful night.
If we could, we would trade our tomorrows
to rewrite it and take your place.
But time is a cruel master
that steals what it can't replay.
So now we're left here alone, sitting in silence,
and the aches we can't hide.
You slipped through our fingers
like sand in a rolling tide.
If love alone could have saved you,
you would still be alive.
But now we have to keep your memories
in our hearts, still full of pride.
So until we meet again, this is never a goodbye
as we leave this period of time with tears in our eyes.
So rest now, our sweet angel, take your place in God's arms.
Our life will never be the same again, but the spirit of your life will forever
