Don'T Cast the Stone
I'm on my first step out of 12
Just barely out of hell
And I'm still a ways
From that finish line
So until the day
When I can say I'm sober
I'll keep falling one more time
And I drink about it
I'll drink it over
I got this monkey
On my shoulder
So please don't judge me
Unless you're perfect
Don't cast the stone
Don't cast the stone
I've seen better men than me
Walk down this same road
And end up at the starting line
Without learning how to go
Was it the fate that they
Were given for themselves
Or their lust to kill the pain
When I drink about it
I drink it over
I'll get this monkey
Off my shoulder
So please don't judge me
Unless you're perfect
Don't cast the stone
Don't cast the stone
This battle isn't easy
I've fallen back a couple times
Until I found the reasons
That I had to win the fight
Though I'll carry
This name with me to my grave
I guess that's how it has to be
When I drank about it
I drank it over
But I got that monkey
Off my shoulder
Please don't judge me
Cause I'm not perfect
Don't cast the stone
Don't cast the stone
