Don'T Burn My Dreams
DON'T BURN MY DREAMS
Under crisp autumn’s azure sky
the rustling leaves wind would pass by
with requiem tunes of the fall,
donning burning colors they’d fly.
They’d fly, brush fondly you and me.
Emotions would voice ecstasy
in words of lyric I’d compose
life would sink in its melody.
Its melody got swept away
by silent smoke to my sky grey,
your fire blazed words of my lyric,
don’t stoke your sly fire, I couldn’t say.
I couldn’t say, let me weave in air
the tapestry of love with flair
in tinged words of hued fantasy,
don’t break my dreams, burn in your fire.
