Don'T Bite the Hand
You wouldn't believe how good it feels
Just to have you out of my life.
All of you who thought everyday of new ways
How to use and abuse me, gone for good
Taking my kindness, my generosity
For weakness.
It's people like you who will never know
There is true happiness in helping someone in need
Somebody who doesn't abuse
The helping hand I extend in good faith.
You chose to lie to get what you wanted
Even resorted to being and then
Being disrespectful.
And when you bit, I took my hand back
You told lies, called me names, called me the liar
If you can't make it on your own
You can find a way to get what you need
Without bleeding me dry. I found a way.
After I got caught in a hole of debt
Still buying you things you needed
Putting you over myself
You took it for a weakness when it really is a
Strength to be able to go without to help
Somebody who needs it more than you.
Now I have more to give to those who
Don't take it for granted.
And more for myself.
So thanks for screwing yourselves over
