Dong Dong Dong

Hormones in chaos,
Heartbeat racing,
I peer out of the window.
Nothing is priority, anymore.
The duster is at full stop and
fell down limp from hands
That joined in a prayer.
My gaze raised to the sky.
As if the bell was ringing
On Angels’ door to let way
For that poor soul who left
Too soon. Yes, too soon,
For an ill-timed bullet chose
Her head to take a rest.
Bless her soul Oh God. Amen.
