Dollar To Dollar
Living dollar to dollar
Is the way of life
If you don’t have a scholar.
Counting the pennies
Day to day
don’t have dollars
to pay your way.
Depression and tears
Go hand in hand,
Just want to bury
My head in the sand.
At the register
Not enough, for food,
Only then you realize
The magnitude.
Cannot go out
Without a doubt
I have no money
To shout.
Working hard to pay bills,
Low income job
I have no skills.
Staying strong
Things will change
Then I can
Money exchange.
Staying positive, is hard to do
Set back after set back
You going to crack,
You feel under attack.
A new day dawns,
Hope is there
All in all
You should not despair.
