Dogs in Heaven
It was bound to happen
Man and dog.
The bond between them
an agreement, arrangement, a friendship
First dogs were workers
aided man in needed task
Herding, hunting, guarding
over time they became companions
pets, friends, loyal and loving.
Prayers people pray for their dogs
the love they have for them seems to rival
affection even over their own children.
A dog's love is unconditional and loyal
A child's, a subject for another day.
The Bible does not seem to think highly of dogs
but over time God's hand redeemed them.
People pray for their dogs, for their well being
for their health and their souls.
So many prayers can they not be answered?
The love God gave man for their pets
especially the dog. He knew it would happen.
I believe like our human loved ones
our beloved dogs are in Heaven too.
What a reunion that will be to be reunited
with every dog you ever had.
You know it is hard for a dog to wait
for their masters, An eternity of happy tail wagging.
Dogs are in Heaven. Prayers answered.
