I tend to agree with you, Andrea. Throughout the years we've always had dogs and cats in our family (apart from many other pets), but I always found cats to be the more independent. Congrats on your win. // paul

Yes, dear Andrea, we eat more sh-t than you know! This also applies to the pesticides our fruits and vegetables soak in their skins when heavily sprayed with pesticides. And washing foods before we eat them does not purify them. I no longer eat beef because of the hormones (and other chemicals they put in them). I could go on and on, but you get the point. Thanks for the stop. / M

I prefer a dog to a cat. They may be better at personal hygiene, but when their owners forget to take out their soiled litter (as a few of the occupants of my apartment complex do), they stink up the corridors! When my dog needs to do his thing, he indicates he wants to go out. I just have to pick it up with a proper poop bag. No smell, no hassle. Enjoyed your poem. / M

A dog a cat, it does not matter. If you feed em' too much, they both get fatter. :)

I must agree. We've had so many, many cats. We did have a long haired dachs named Skipper that we loved dearly. With no back yard, though, cats are more convenient. Seems like any animal can take over your heart. We have a new kitten named, Cash, after my dad, Cassius Austin. Love, daver

Just so neat how this is a poem which has a message, can also be summed up as a message with the end words of each sentence Love the cats also, just not having any with my husband around, I love my husband more than the cats. The dogs I've had, love them but I love the independence of a cat.

Cute terse write here dear poet ! I love them both extremely yet, as a child until NOW, I am extremely allergic to the critters ! I had a dog when I was a teenager...13-17 though it had to live outside. A Doberman Pinscher, and no I didn't snip his ears or tail...how cruel that is ! My father and I built him his own house in the 'huge yard', a smaller scale model of our own house. Sparky was one cool cat, pun *smiles* Have a wonderful week Andrea..getting Soup mail..Much love, james
