Doggie Bag

Don’t it make you feel like a no life, enslaved sap?,
To follow your dog around
As he looks for a place to crap?

And if that’s not enough, oh my aching word,
You follow him back home toting his turd!

Just one more rhyme and then I’m through.
Who is the leash for ….. the dog or you?
Okay I lied about the rhymes; there’s two..

As a matter of fact, I’d rather care for a cat,
They cover it themselves once they’ve shat.

Inspired by people /pet watching in an association.

Robert---At first glance I thot this would be about a large steak dinner that u couldn't finish and had to get the DOGGIE BAG...whoah was I wrong!! ha ha. This is one of my fav rhyme schemes---yours flows nicely....I have both a dog and a kitten...I will read this to them and give u their analysis...one will like it more than the other....ha ha ha ha ha.....this is grrrreat stuff! Just picturing YOU ON A LEASH!!! Gwendolen

I can hardly write, I'm laughing so much. I'm an easy mark for clean dirty humor. My neighbors cats don't cover it up in my yard. It's time to have leash laws on them. puu.

Oh how I can get into this one. Haven't had a dog for years, but the poem describes why we went to cats - apartment living mainly the reason. On the minus side - I clean the litter boxes daily. Good write. Love, daver

LOL Very clever observation and I can't even imagine toting a dog's turd home. Yes, I'm a cat lover and this is one of the reasons. Got quite a kick out of this clever poem, Rob. Love, Carolyn
