Dog Walking
Listen to poem:
Man's bestie
Not a poodle
or Westie
He looks like a wolf
Not in sheep's clothing
No danger
Only love
Faithful presence
Honest happiness
I can call his name
And in he comes
Boundless
Longing to be known
Happy to have grown
Up with me
He rests and dreams
So do I
We dream together
We walk
I talk
Whatever the weather
He teaches me something
Every day
About faithfulness
Simplicity
Honesty
Love
Even when we have to say
Goodbye
His memory
Will be etched
Onto the tombstone
Of my life
