Dog park politics

Growling viciously
In a mindless, endless
Moment of contention
Saliva soaking the goal

The onlookers gawked
Some shaking their heads
Others somehow amused
By the furious enmity

Were they seeking the middle
Or fighting for it all
Or was the goal to keep them occupied
While their handlers sipped coffee

As long as the world has gone to the dogs, I'm happy to read that they're stuck with the world's politics. heh-heh.

I suppose 'politics' is everywhere, even at the dog park. This is a clever and endearing poem. enjoyed

I enjoyed reading your wonderful "Dog park politics" write. Dog Parks were make for drinking coffee, right??? Hahaha!!!! I have no dog now. Wish I did but do not know if I would go to a Dog Park. My friend sends their dog to doggy day care a couple of times week. Can I be a doggy, oh please??? Have a Blessed/Fun day writing away..........
