"Laying out" was my actual life style every summer until about three years ago when I simply had no time for it and I realized it was too risky to keep doing it so much. I would even catch the rays until Halloween time if the sun stayed strong till then! Those were the days!! It was worse when I was much younger and out boating with my husband every weekend!

From June (when the summer has just begun) till August, I sizzle under the sun. I bathe underneath it, soaking it in, and even in fall, I will not be done! The first days of autumn cannot defeat my unbridled passion each day to greet sun rays still blazing in autumn’s blue sky. Through Indian Summer, I relish sweet heat! Dog days of Summer, don’t give up on me. Keep on through October, for I will be basking in sunshine as long as I can - and were it possible – eternally! I too love the seasons you've expressed so beautifully. I love the sun, the rain, and now in October the early darkness when I can see the moon and stars above my head. Bob

One can’t help but love the warmth of the sun. Nicely written, Andrea, best of luck. John

I haven't sunned since I fell asleep in the sun, when I was in college, while studying for exams. Had sun poisoning so bad that my legs split open and took over a year to heal. I do highly recommend aloe juice if you're a sun-seeker; rub in on liberally; it's very healing and as a drink. Still, I hate to see summer go; keep penning.

I got very badly blistered on my chest the first day at the pool in mADRID when I was 18. I got fever and chills. I think I spent four hours in midday sun. I worry about that area of my body now. I do not do tanning any more but effects may haunt me in the future.

The warmth of the sun feels so good, but I have to be careful or my skin cancer will return. I enjoy it in moderation. A lovely entry Andrea. : )

yes, I only get sun now when I walk my dog a few times a week or driving to work, using sunglasses and sunscreen on my face!

It does feel good to soak up the warm rays. I used to a lot. I miss it now.

yes, I think 10 to 20 min late afternoon would be perfectly fine but I don't even have time for THAT any more. I wonder if driving 40 min a day gets me the sun!!

Despite the pharmaceutical industry propaganda, a daily dose of sunshine is essential to good health - and good eye site, so enjoy your lifestyle! Aloha! Rico

Sadly, when I was getting all that sun, my body still had very low level of Vitamin D . When I got cancer (not skin cancer) I began eating super healthy and taking lots of supplements. My Vitamin D level is now at 57. Before it was only 13 (with sun). In my own case, I think it is all about diet!!

Your affinity for the sun comes through in your words. A poem of longing for the season..wonderfully written. Best for a win, Andrea.
