Does Mother Moon Sleep

Last night I fell into a deep sleep, my cat precious slept with me. I could swear that old Mother Moon, slept with us, I swear, it’s true. Mother Moon she’s truly wise, but she get’s tired, I surmise. The thing that puzzles me the most, when she’s asleep, how does she glow? Perhaps she’s playing a trick on me, I wonder if Precious ever sees, her opening her eyes during the night; boy, that would be funny, alright. I’ll wait awhile, pretending I’m asleep, then when Moon isn’t looking, I’ll take a peek. I’ll see if I can catch her open eyes, I’ll bet she’ll get a big surprise!

Moonlight is one of my favorite things. There is nothing like it. When it makes a path on the water in the evening, I will sometimes take my Kayak and try to get right on top of it as I move, if only for a few minutes. This poem is lovely and I bet your kitty was lulled by the moonlight and you warmth into a cuddly peaceful sleep. Meow, goodnight

You had a bed full of companions, but oh WOW, Mother Moons presence must have been pure delight for you. i would think that keeping her eyes closed at night is part of the agreement of her existence.
