Does God Have A Sense Of Humor?

(New Years Eve 2019)
On the evening preceding this New Years Day,
Two decades have passed since fearing Y-2K.
Renewed thoughts in most minds continue churning,
As we relive a time that was most concerning.
Some hoarded items seeing us nearing the end,
Many predicted a calamity that this would portend.
Seer’s predicted change would be upon us aplenty,
Yet I sit here on this eve, facing twenty-twenty.
As God looked down, I’m sure HE was smiling,
HE took an ordinary time and made it beguiling.
leading up to that day we were held in suspense,
While God had a little laugh at HIS creations expense.
