Just That Archaic Poet Poet Light Verse

Doctor's Orders

Physician’s convictions to poison their patients,
Procedures with Ether, cold X-Ray stations 
A thousand scans in milligrams, 
Lobotomies and Amputations…
 
Surgeries to transform me, 
Imperfections to augment 
Blood Transfusions, concussions, contusions- 
For just a small improvement!

It was written in a mental ward and I was heavily medicated. Not sure I can recapture that feeling now; it would be forced, and that wouldn't work. I'm happy you are reading and reviewing so many of my pieces; I really do appreciate it :)
