Do You Really Want To Know

Do you want to know,
Are you interested
In who I am,
And in my life?

Do you really want to know,
And could you handle it
If I exposed
all of my lies?

Would you still want to know
What the future holds
For us,
Or would you leave my side?

If you were to know
That everything I told you
Was just to stay
Pure in your sight...

Just so you know,
I am no angel.
I was pretending
The whole time...

I only did it because I know
That you always wanted someone
Sweet and innocent;
Clean, and nice...

But you deserve to know
The truth about the girl
That you thought
You really liked...

So, now that you know
Who I really am,
Is it too much
Of a surprise?

Trust me, I know
That what I did was wrong,
I think about it
Every night...

And I want you to know
That I apologize,
I did more harm
Than I realized.
