Do You Really Do As You Think You Do
Do you do as you really think you do?
as the world burns the children cry
do you need to wonder why
tears of sorrow run down dirty faces
do you care or dare to know why
the cause is never the cure for pain.
as we seek the light of the eternal night
we turn our eyes slowly away from it
do you know or just think it goes away
it takes more than words to make it the way.
my wish is to find the way to brighten the hurt away
how can i fix this mess when it is all such a mess
a drop in the ocean sets the tide in motion
those hungry eyes look into your soul and wish for small.
it takes so little to make it right
for the small to seek the light
be good and kind and in your heart you will find
