Do You Ever

Do you ever wonder
As the sun begins to set
About people who have crossed your path
And those you've never met?

Do you ever wonder
At the setting of the sun
About the lives that have gone before
And those that have just begun?

Do you ever wonder
As the sun starts to rise
What lies behind an adults laughter
Or happiness in childrens eyes?

Do you ever wonder
At the rising of the sun
What our ancesters did
And our children will have done?

Do you ever wonder
As you go about your day
About the people around you
And the role that they all play?

Maybe you should wonder
About the world at last
And it how it shapes our future
And was shaped by our past.
