Do You

Do you ever hold yourself accountable, or only measure the aftermath, never the cause? Do you notice when my love fades, yet stay blind to the weight of my unhappiness? Do you see my worth in the dreams I build, or only in the distance I keep? Do you recognise the effort in the little things, or do they slip past, unnoticed? Do you want me, yet believe I am replaceable? Do you seek faith, yet twist it into doubt? Do you feel blindsided by my rage, or did you never see the slow burn before the fire? Do you aim to try harder, or is mediocrity enough for you to call it living?
