Do What Diamonds Do

O how you sparkle and o how you shine
Like pearls beaming so bright on a deep and dark night
Supernatural is your spotlight
I can see through a static sea of black and blues
Drowning in the darkness
What can I do?
Hooked through the heart
Falling too fast for you honey
You do what diamonds do

You take me through terror
You take me through time
You take me through sewers...past the slugs and the swine
I'd turn water into wine if you'd give me a glance
As you glimmer and glow you take me to a trance
With the devil and death now I do a slow dance
Like a million angry ants you ravage what's real
Gravity it grips me like a beast says boo
You do what diamonds do

I can see you in a maze...a mirage...a minefield
In a desert of dreams screams like sirens call me to come
I risk life,limb, and love
I fly fast like a dove then I fall like a fool
Blown apart by your beauty
That shine of seduction some way left me screwed
See you some sunny day
You do what diamonds do
