Do We Like What We See

It appears the climb will be steep
For we are mostly in stupor
How do dark fears, upon us creep
Why so rare, is playful caper

From myopic sight, veiled is light 
It appears the climb will be steep
Our dull awareness, naught at night
Dreams spin us around, while we sleep

Fears and desires, oft make us weep
Wish to be free but know not how 
It appears the climb will be steep
For we wallow in the shallow

Restless heart, for Gods love does pine
We can if we choose, take the leap
Unless head, heart and love align 
It appears the climb will be steep
