Do We Have the Courage of David

Do We Have the Courage of David? When David heard Goliath mock at God’s name. He couldn’t hardly listen to him bring God shame! “Who is this man that he should mock the God I serve?” David was willing to give Goliath what he deserved! God gave David the courage to stand up to this man! For the God he served, he was willing to take a stand! He met Goliath. And was willing to talk face to face. He had enough of Goliath bringing God much disgrace! With a slingshot and a stone, Goliath fell to the ground. All of David’s enemies fled! They were no longer around! With the giant’s sword, David quickly cut off his head. David took the courage to make sure he was dead! I wonder how many in church, would take this kind of action? How many would stand up for God? No matter the reaction? Too often, people in church run and are scared of what to do! Many are ashamed of the God, that David loved and knew! It’s time that the church takes a stand against the evil tide! It’s only in serving God, that we’re on the winning side! When the giants in life come, and begin to appear… Will you take a stand for God? Or simply disappear? Whatever giant you face… God gives the victory! And gives the strength you need! Most certainly! May we not be ashamed of anything God has done! May our lives bring honor to God the father, spirit, and son! 12/14/16
