Do Trees Bleed?

although i know each time ive gone
around this block things stay the same,
and despite my deposition that ive done my lot, things never change,
frankly ive been caught in thought,
lost myself back half a block,
and wondered how you ever sought
to capture me,

make me believe, that loving you was worth the pain,

i took a momentary stop,
and felt the breeze attack my face,
noticed how the leaves were caught,
dangling for their lives it seemed,
the trees had no apologies,
so soon the leaves will plead their case,

i wondered if the trees would bleed,
like people do when shedding limbs
or equally internally
for those that they hold dear to them,
but thats when they remind of when
I lied and said never again,

Great analogy. You can change yourself, but you can't change others. Time to get out.
