Do Or Die

The reason being, “do or die”
When leadership has failed
No longer can sleeping dogs lie
While the masses feel impaled

When leadership has failed
Helplessness becomes the norm
While the masses feel impaled
They act in fashion true to form

Helplessness becomes the norm
Until a rally cry is heard
They act in fashion true to form
All who care must hear the word

Until a rally cry is heard
No longer can sleeping dogs lie
All who care must hear the word
The reason being, “do or die”

Thank you for sharing your poetry Charles. Poets here offer such diverse writings and to me it is a pleasure to read each and everyone. I will not be here at the Soup to read from Friday through Monday. I hope you will find mountains of inspiration during that time. I look forward to reading when I return. Have a great weekend. Love, Carol
