Do It All Again

Tonight I’d like to take a little time, Some of yours, and some of mine, And put together something so sublime It lets these lonely dreams of ours combine. I’ll hold the soulful mixture to my heart; Embrace it so it doesn’t come apart. I’ll cuddle with my honey Till the sun comes up, and then, Tomorrow night we’ll do it all again. I know there’ve been some things we both regret, Some were yours, and some were mine, But let’s not bring the curtain down just yet. I’d like to change the script’s last tragic line. We’ll write a happy ending to this play, Rehearse it till we both know what to say. Just lay with me, my baby, Till the sun comes up, and then, Tomorrow night we’ll do it all again.
