Do I Keep My Mouth Shut

I hear the conversation and I know 
All of the players. 
They do not know this, so do I tell them who I am?
They are in a public place saying mean things about my relative.
Do I keep to myself? Pretty soon with the clues I know who this person is.
My cousin cannot say anything nice about her either.
 I wisely go about my business, 
Keeping my mouth shut.
Not sharing any of this juiciness.
Saving myself heartache.

Gossip is character assassination, but, like you, I don't get " involved" by joining in with them. And when I get a chance, I try to mention positive things about the person they are taking about. That usually lets them know where I stand. I appreciate your stand on this subject, Caren. Wise indeed! I never hold things in or let someone get away with something that I know is hurting someone else or could hurt them. Confrontation is my best option.
