Do I Keep My Mouth Shut

I hear the conversation and I know All of the players. They do not know this, so do I tell them who I am? They are in a public place saying mean things about my relative. Do I keep to myself? Pretty soon with the clues I know who this person is. My cousin cannot say anything nice about her either. I wisely go about my business, Keeping my mouth shut. Not sharing any of this juiciness. Saving myself heartache.

Shouldn't we stand up for the people we love? Yes! However when the cost is too high we have to keep silent unless the life of our loved one is in danger!

If someone tells me about some unkindness they've experienced from someone else, I hear them out, but I keep what they've said to myself. Gossip is character assassination, but, like you, I don't get " involved" by joining in with them. And when I get a chance, I try to mention positive things about the person they are taking about. That usually lets them know where I stand. I appreciate your stand on this subject, Caren. Wise indeed! Warm Regards! ~~AquaM~~

You are better off than I. I go right to the person and say whats on my mind. I never hold things in or let someone get away with something that I know is hurting someone else or could hurt them. Confrontation is my best option. Thanks for sharing this

I keep things to myself, so I stay out of dangerous territory. I always think they "shoot the messenger" maybe not now, but later.
