Do Hearts Collide When They Meet?

How could I have been so blind To think you could ever be mine? I knew for long we wouldn’t last, It was too strong, we too fast. But love you I did, so deep, Knowing you’re not mine to keep. Look inside this broken heart, Then tell me, where do I start. The pieces lay shattered at my feet, Do hearts collide when they meet? Our souls did touch and became one, Now I feel so empty and alone. Through all the tears and searing pain, You will never know what I gained. I felt a love so strong and true, There will never be another you. If in another place and time, Time still doesn’t make you mine. Still laying shattered at my feet, Do hearts collide when they meet?
