Diwali- Festival of Lights

Twinkling stars in courtyard light up the sky,
On an absolutely dark moonless Diwali night ,
Sprit of festival comes in alive !

Everyone looks glamorous, in best of attire,
Colourful lights and candles glow bright,
Twinkling stars in courtyard light up the sky !

Warm Embrace puts an end to enmity and satire,
Sets off every mood exactly right,
Spirit of festival comes in alive !

Colour display of crackers, no fight fire with fire,
Exchanging sweets and gifts gain new height,
Twinkling stars in courtyard light up the sky !

Beauty in ideas beyond diamonds and sapphire,
Vast hearty emotions walk in equal delight,
Spirit of festival comes in alive !

Return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya we celebrate,
Worship of Goddess Luxmi, prosperity to plight,
Twinkling stars in courtyard light up the sky,
Spirit of festival comes in alive !
