Divorced

DIVORCED

perhaps I was young, unknown
perhaps my presence was a number ,unseen
for they made their decisions ,not thought of
and I missed them so, unnoticed.

perhaps we needed to talk
for I too had a choice, unheard
and when I wonder why, unanswered
yet I miss him without question, he never calls

mother loves me, she works harder
yet I miss those days back then
when they read me a story to sleep
but they are divorced, forgotten.
