Notes About The Poem

Divorce

Divine days lost
Into the years, eaten by the
Vultures that took our flame.
Onwards tomorrow, we´ll have
Rememberings to step out.
Capturing our life together...!
Exam failed by you and me.

eaten by the Vultures that took our flame…Captivated by the final line especially. That raw feeling of failure… Congratulations on your impressive placement!

Congrats Maria on placing 4th out of 49 entries! My favorite line "eaten by the vultures that took our flame." Amazing.

You have skillfully painted a vivid depiction of an exquisitely crafted Acrostic, Maria. Love, the ultimate truth, occasionally eludes our grasp as we fixate on illusory shadows rather than embracing the luminous essence.

Dear Sotto, thank you so much for your kind words. You are very right. Well, this is my first acrostic, it's just a trial. Have a nice evening!

Love alone is real and yet sometimes we look at shadows and not the light
