Divinity

When you left, I lost you and I lost me and I lost us.
Everything I loved gone in the blink of an eye.
I had no idea what to do. I was lost in the darkness.
I begged and pleaded, screamed and cried. But couldn't quite get a grip.
Then divine intervention saved me, right at the moment I needed saving.
I started to feel warmth and comfort again.
The light in the darkness began to shine bright.
Bright until the tears stopped rolling down my cheeks.
Brighter until I held my head up high and proud.
Brighter until my heart felt love again.
Brighter and brighter until I remembered who I was!
