Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Divine Tragedy

Into its hellfire between sin and curse
in realms of the dead I am not alone -
a journey through circles of Hell on earth
in the inferno that leads to the throne.
A last pilgrimage in Purgatory
with Satan my guide and God my witness -
to seek that lost divinity in me
staring deep into the edge of darkness.
But all I am is a soul sacrifice -
a sin offering to a mortal world
seeking the divine grace of Paradise
and to my revenant spirit behold.
If I listen for that soul in limbo
I can hear in me its living echo.

Keith, nice to seek and find a trace of what makes one a good soul. Your poetry is complex and faithful. I have to read a few more.
