Divine Candle
Volatile emotions desiccate in perched life desolate,
somewhere within me hides a quiet niche of bliss,
its realm in the sands of my desert heart I try to locate,
searching for unfelt ambiance of the concealed oasis.
Dried tears of the child begging on the road hungry,
stone eyes of the petrified mother of the child lost,
silent sighs of the sick destitute resigned to destiny,
all these unveil in me the tender oasis I value most.
From the tranquil flow of its cool fountain I collect
placid drops of soulful solace to the fulfilling measure.
The chromatic horizon of the new dawn I see reflect
the hues of the rising sun with hope as life’s treasure.
From my mind’s silver lined cloud glints of dream disperse,
reach those crushed in the debris of the fallen sky helpless,
while I hear the reassuring breeze of the oasis whispers...
humbly light gloomy hearts with divine candle of kindness.
