Divide and Conquer

We have the purveyors That hide the truth Causing division Poising the minds of youths With hateful ideologies And entangled roots In a confused state They spread the lies In a toll of consequences And on the streets Innocents die Their aim is but one To keep us in a cage Whilst they bask in glory Of ill-begotten gains Equality and justice They fail to see In the propagation of poverty That affects you and me There is all the resources That mankind ever needs But we are robbed of its riches When its driven by greed They see it as a sanctuary When we all start to fight For the crumbs on the table When the bulk is taken In the midst of night Not for a need to be fulfilled But as a weapon of sorts To divide and conquer Tearing us apart They say kindness Is within every one But in confused state of nations And across every land The purveyors that hide the truth Is found in every land Diverting our attention So we fail to understand That there is unity of purpose When mankind understand In keeping a central focus To be kind to everyone.

We have never been this divided. I am 68. I have never felt this kind of division. We need the rich to get less rich, and the poor to be less poor.
