Diversion
These woods have
a path running through
them
the dark shadows
of evening are coming on
we'll push forward
hoping to find
the green pastures
we know lie ahead
Another turn in the
path
and we hear running
feet from the trees to
our right
let the dim light
of the dying sun
be our guide
the forest is dark and mysterious
If we have to spend
another night here - we will
The rustling of the leaves
continues
We blend
together with the darkening
woods
Fragile creatures
whose days 'are numbered
We still dare to hope for
green fields filled
with the delightful scent
of flowers
which will greet us
at journey's end
