Distant Times

In distant times with brighter skies
we sang the songs that soothed the stars
in calmer nights with cooler moons
we dance on dunes of diamond jewels
the sun sparkles off the waves
like a thousand diamonds set a fire
crushed blue velvet skies fading into ebony
I stand in the warmth of your gentle embrace
the wish I made is to always be with you
