Distant Things
There's a paradise, a million miles away,
But still it can be clearly seen by my eyes.
Would take me some time but I'll be there some day.
I was in a dream all my life; now I wish to make it come true.
Don't know which path to take or where I'll end up,
But as long as my heart beats, life will give me a clue.
That good, perfect life is a distant thing, this I know.
But mama said I should keep going and fight back my fears.
Hope will be my lifeguard even when I'm drowning in the sea of sorrow.
And whatever it takes, I won't stop thinking of these distant things,
I will walk the entire distance to set my foot on my kingdom and become a king.
