Distant Sundays

He was a distant Sunday,
Silent and reverent.

The maiden waited to be rescued,
Conversation guested.

To meet a prince was a remote goal,
Without knowing how to respond.

They got along well for awhile,
Then she smiled knowingly.

Although neither may cross paths again,
The memory of their meeting lingered on.

He was her prince from a romantic novel,
Maybe they are destined to meet again.

You learn how precious humans are,
God provides miracles.
