Distant Reminder

An anxious feather,
began to hover,
over a frozen lake of glass.
Flying through fire,
ever so higher.
Into the memories of the long
forgotten past.
Soaring above the mountain
tops
while slowly increasing speed.
The feather flew higher,
with a distant reminder.
Just how much a feather can
see.
A gust of wind will take you
anywhere.
If only the feather could
receive.
A dash of hope,
a touch of atmosphere.
Some wind and the will to go
where ever you please.

amazing.... simple and eloquent. dramatic entrance, escalating heart rate, or the unanswered question of what tomorrow might bring isn't necessary for a great poet like yourself!
