Distant Memory

Tears rolling down my face,
wetting the paper as I try to write.
Remembering the days when you could
look into a crowded room and only notice me.
Such a far far distant memory.
Your deception and unfaithfulness clouding
my thoughts.
I said I could forgive you, but forget I can not.
Your wrong plays over and over in my head each
time stinging my already wounded soul.
Promises no longer do you keep.
This is not how I pictured my forever with you
would be.
