Distant Dreams
His hair cascaded infront of his eyes
and my hand would sweep it away
to reveal his emerald greens
and I lost myself in sweet dreams
the way our hands would interlock
as if someone threw away our key
and your words like honey
dripping softly as i capture them
and I treasure what you once told me
even if they’re now faint memories
laying in blades of greens
the clouds as soft as you holding me
and I see you with a new diamond
together you shine like the sun
but we were like a star exploding
colors as bright as a supernova
and I know that I should shove away
my thoughts that hum about you
but still sometimes when my mind is clear
I think of you again
