Distance Is Everything

Internal sunshine in a bag that burns a hole in my pocket Holding the black ink that spreads like cancer throughout the intricacies of my mind I feel as though I'm running out of time I haven't lost my breath yet But, I do feel distance A very long winded distance in between short memory lapses during all of those moments If there is a race I'd like to drop out of my own There's nothing to win And, definitely no surprise when it all ends Just you in the dark walking alone
