Distance

Distance

One does not cry
Among professionals
Sipping lattes in Starbucks
But I cannot staunch the flow
When I think of you
So far away from me now

I don’t mean mere physical distance
But that I do not know
What is happening in your life
I no longer laugh with you
Nor share music and stories
As we used to

This is the chasm between us
That has imploded my heart
Today

"Sipping lattes in Starbucks." That sounds great! Sorry for your loss, but it created a fine poem, Love, daver
